Since then, I have been walking around with this ancient knowledge rattling around in my head and I am desperate to share it, along with my stash of brightly coloured embroidery threads. Join us!

Autumn lanterns – “donation only” day
Saturday, 24th October 2020 – two sessions
Morning session: 11am-12.30pm
Afternoon session: 2-3.30pm
Introducing ‘donation only’ days At Birkhill House! Come along and pay what you see fit. In the first in the series, we will make Autumn lanterns together. I haven’t put an age limit on the craft but I do think that younger ones will struggle so parents are invited to stay and help their wee ones if necessary.I have kept group numbers low so that we can have a calm and chilled out time building our lanterns, which are breathtaking to behold but deceptively simple to construct. At the end of the session, we will hopefully have a bit of time to say hello to the alpacas as well.
